Located midway down the Eastern Caribbean, St. Lucia lies between Barbados, Grenada and St. Vincent & The Grenadines, and is easy to get to, with frequent direct flights from the UK, US and Canada, not to mention substantial regional airlift.
Quality Of Life
St. Lucia rivals, and in many cases surpasses, other islands in the region in terms of quality of life. Crime levels are low, the political system is a stable democracy with the Queen as head of state, infrastructure is modern and reliable, and supermarkets offer local and imported items in abundance.
Healthcare is of a high standard compared to the rest of the region, with three public hospitals and dozens of smaller health and wellness centers located throughout the island.
Education again is of a high quality by regional standards, and an International School exists to cater for transient ex-patriates that seek to maintain a standardised continuity of education for their children.
Weather & Climate
Due to its proximity to the equator St. Lucia enjoys a year-round hot, tropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 77-80F (25-27C), tempered by the northeasterly trade winds.
One of the most appealing aspects of life in St. Lucia is that there is always something happening! Whether it’s the fiercely contested CPL cricket matches, the world-famous Jazz & Arts Festival, the summer Carnival or winter sailing, or just the multitude of restaurants and bars that are filled with an exciting and friendly atmosphere every night of the week.
