This lovely house, built on a 1 acre plot, by island renowned Canadian Wayne Brown, was started in May 2004, finished in August 2005 and first occupied in September 2005.

Wayne had been helping us to look for a house to buy, but at that time nothing was available, and so when he happened to bump into the German lady who owned this plot and she told him that she wanted to sell it, as she was getting older and did not think that she would now be wanting to build herself, we were immediately offered it. My husband therefore sold his boat in England and with the proceeds we bought the plot. Wayne had brought us to see it one hot Sunday morning, and, having asked the people next door at Pepper Point if we could go through their garden to access the plot, we struggled through the bushes and trees in rough terrain to try to get an idea of the view, which was difficult! However, when my husband suddenly turned round and excitedly exclaimed that he thought there was a good view we decided to take the plunge and build!

Wayne told me to send him pictures of the sort of houses and architectural details that I particularly liked, and also those which I didn`t. Luckily, I got hold of a beautiful brochure of villas in Mustique which gave us lots of ideas, and Wayne took it from there. As the house gradually took shape, of course, we did make minor adjustments and additions, but between us we have been delighted with our light, airy, private and spacious home. All our guests and visitors have been overwhelmed by our magnificent views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean, the golf course below, and south down the island, which even include the Pitons from time to time. Of course, the views are something which we never tire of seeing every day we are here.

The house has spacious living rooms with netted louvres (to let the breeze in and keep the mosquitos out), fans and air-conditioning to the 4 bedrooms on two floors. There is a magnificent `garden room` gazebo shaded from the sunniest times of day, and a pool deck complete with large swimming pool, shaded and

open sitting areas and bar with its own small kitchen. To complete the picture, the gardens are lush and tropical with a lovely array of flowering and fruiting shrubs and trees. Garage (incorporating a workshop), car port and ample parking area, beneath which is a rainwater storage tank holding 40,000 gallons. Under the pool deck are two tanks, each of 10,000 gallons, currently one collects rainwater and the other is supplied by WASCO.

Also in the grounds is a small Caribbean style cottage for staff use/accommodation. The property stands high on the Mount du Cap in quiet, private and peaceful grounds, though having immediate access to the road to Rodney Bay with its shopping and restaurant amenities.

The owners are sadly only selling due to ill health.
